FORGET the latest fashion trends.

The must-have accessory on this year's Logie Awards was the selfie.

An estimated 500 celebrities, actors and industry insiders walked the Logies red carpet tonight in Melbourne.

Looking glamorous in glittering gowns and dapper suits, the celebrities received plenty of requests for selfies from fans as they walked the 437-metre carpet.

Eye-catching guests included new mum and Gold Logie nominee Carrie Bickmore, supermodel Jennifer Hawkins and Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst.

Choreographer and former So You Think You Can Dance Australia judge Jason Coleman had one of his hands painted with nail polish in support of Bruce Jenner, who recently went public with his gender transition.

It's the fifth Logies for Winners & Losers star Melissa Bergland, who is currently filming the fifth season of the drama with new cast member Demi Harman.

"It's far less daunting; the first year was terrifying," Bergland told APN.

"Demi and I met on my second Logies and now we're working together, which is great."

Harman was also in attendance supporting her former Home and Away cast - the show is being inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame - and her new Better Homes and Gardens cast.
