Wine Company operates in mainly in Northern Rivers NSW as well as in South-Est QLD. The position is based in an office conveniently located in Byron Bay, NSW, at the heart of the main market for our products. JOB TITLE: Brand Manager JOB TYPE: Full-time - 38hours/week LOCATION: Byron Bay SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: As the Brand Manager, you will report to the Board of Directors and will primarily be responsible for the development of marketing strategies. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Identifying business opportunities (market, development, alliances, etc) - Developing the sales on both on and off-premises channels - Working closely with our clients to improve availability and visibility of our products. Including staff tasting and trade tasting - Building Brand image: tailoring the brand message to the market and adapting the packaging - Organising events showcasing our wines in partnership with key accounts such as masterclass tasting - Sponsoring selected events and managing public relations: liaising with influential wine writers in order to obtain reviews published in key wine publications; - Monitoring stock and forecasting sales to ensure consistent supply; - Analysing sales performance and defining the sales and marketing strategy. - Developing pricing strategies - Monitoring industry best practices - Conducting market research to determine market requirements and competitor information - Developing and implementing marketing plans and projects for new and existing products - Analysing customer/consumer research including interpreting & predicting current and future consumer trends - Report on return on investment - Determining and managing the budget - Preparing Sales & Marketing strategies annually for the project Business Plan - Coordinating and managing the digital content SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications & Certifications: - Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing or Strategy; Master degree highly preferred - Certificate of Responsible Service of Alcohol QLD and NSW (RSA) - Certificate of Responsible Management of Licenced Venues (RSML) - Driver Licence Experience: - At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Wine industry in Australia - Knowledge of the Hospitality Industry highly valued - Proven experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing/branding strategies - Proven experience in developing & implementing marketing plans and campaigns - Strong budget management experience - Proven expreince in International business dealings and cross cultural management - Relevant European Wines knowledge - Relevant Biodynamic Viticulture knowledge - Experience in viticulture highly valued (especially in France since our products come from France) Skills: - Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) - Excellent verbal and written communication - Organised and able to meet deadlines - Strong analytical and interpretation skills - Ability to work autonomously - Ability to think strategically and creatively - Available to perform a lot of travels in the Northern Rivers Region, NSW - Highly advantageous to communicate effectively in French to communicate with staff members, suppliers and providers - Digital marketing skills - Proactive and highly motivated PERFORMANCE GOALS: - 1st year Distribution Goal: Opening 50 new accounts; - 1st year Sales Objective: Selling over 18,000 bottles of our wines.
