MEMBERS of the Lennox Surfing Reserve Association will hold a planting day at Lennox Point on Saturday, November 28.
The working bee starts at 10am and finishes at noon.
It is for committee members only, however, public working bees will be held next year.
All members can bring a friend or family to help with planting or weeding (kids too).
Bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, long pants, long-sleeved shirts and boots. Ticks abound, so check yourself.
The working bee will be run in conjunction with Lennox Landcare’s activities to help revegetate the Point, beaches and hinterland.
They will be supplying equipment and expertise.
All plants are supplied by Ballina Shire Council.
“One of the aims of the LNSRA is to assist Lennox Landcare and Angels Beach Landcare groups continue their good work in re-establishing vegetation along the reserve coast,” LNSRA secretary Spider Heesom said.
“The LNSRA also wishes to assist other local organisations such as the Australian Seabird Rescue.”
