Wallabies on record in Perth
AUSTRALIA has won its past four Tests against South Africa and will set a new record for the most consecutive wins against the Springboks should the Wallabies win in Perth next Saturday.
Coach Robbie Deans' men currently stand tied with the classes of 1999 and 2000, which also won four straight against the Boks.
NSW Waratahs prop Paddy Ryan and Western Force winger Nick Cummins are in line to be part of the record-breaking attempt.
The pair has been added to a 31-man training group, which will assemble in Perth tomorrow, ahead of the resumption of the Rugby Championship.
Queensland Reds winger Dom Shipperley and his state teammate, Ben Tapuai, are also included in the squad.
The addition of Cummins and Shipperley gives Deans some options on the wing following the loss of experienced winger Drew Mitchell for the season due to a reoccurring ankle tendon injury.
Mitchell limped off just before half-time in the 22-0 loss against the All Blacks last Saturday.
The Wallabies 22-man squad for the Test will be named Tuesday.
