There is help to push the trolley
BALLINA'S Alan Bremner isn't ready yet to give up his job pushing the trolley when he goes grocery shopping with his wife Dorothy.
But the couple thinks a new customer service program at the shopping centre is a great idea for those who find it difficult to get their trolley full of groceries from the supermarket to the car.
Ballina Central management just over a month ago employed two customer service crew members to help anyone who needed help to push their trolley and unload their shopping.
The service operates on Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm, to tie in with regular pensioner discounts at the Supa Ritchies IGA supermarket.
The service is there for anyone who needs it - from the elderly, to disabled people and mums with young children.
