DESCRIBED as a morale booster aimed at expanding friendships, Grafton Shoppingworld staff and retail employees have embarked on a 12-week outdoor fitness program hosted by Craig Nipperess and Nikita Burns of Xplode Personal Training.
"It's a great chance to get to know all of the tenants and have some fun together," said Jody Stevens, marketing co-ordinator of Grafton Shoppingworld.
A session in Memorial Park on Wednesday afternoon marked week three of the fitness program.
Pleased with the high numbers of participants, instructor Craig Nipperess said it was important for Australians to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
"We (Australia) have a high rate of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, and by partaking in physical activities and increasing healthy eating plans we can increase our health and fitness," he said.
"During the program we have been doing fun warm-ups, relays, tug-of-war and group fitness activities.
"Everyone has a good time. I hope others come."
