SKIPPY the kangaroo has been blamed for a knife attack by the same man who recently blamed a dingo for the same crime.

Mitchell Treyvaud, 53, who is in custody at the Maryborough Correctional Centre, appeared in the Hervey Bay District Court by vidoelink where he told Judge Leanne Clare: "Skippy did it".

This follows his declaration last week that "the dingo did it", referring to the charge against him of unlawful wounding involving his alleged stabbing of a 41-year-old man at Coconut Grove caravan park on January 11.

Judge Clare adjourned the case till the next sitting of the District Court.

Treyvaud will undergo a psychiatric evaluation before he faces court again.

When he appeared last week, he told Judge Clare "I don't boil my cabbages twice" and when she asked about his position in relation to the charge he said: "I'm standing still".

He also fired his legal team, fell off his chair and began skipping around the dock.

Treyvaud further stated: "The dingo did it".
