Man charged over neighbour's death
SYDNEY police have charged a man with the murder of his neighbour while investigations are continuing into the suspicious death of another man in the city's east.
Late Thursday, a 59-year-old man from Mt Druitt was arrested and charged following an investigation into the death of his 65-year-old neighbour who died from injuries he suffered during a street fight on Wednesday evening. He was refused bail.
Meanwhile, detectives have sealed off the New South Head Rd at Edgecliff where a critically injured man was discovered lying on the footpath out the front of a motel on Friday morning.
He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he later died.
