ROCKHAMPTON modelling identity Tamara Dooley thinks Jennifer Hawkins' "untouched" photographs look fabulous, but questions if they raise false expectations for young women.

This comes after Toowoomba magazine editor Liz Hamilton claimed Jen's nude cover shoot would do more harm than good.

The February edition of Marie Claire magazine features photographs of the Australian supermodel nude and untouched.

The photographs are aimed at encouraging positive attitudes to body image while supporting the Butterfly Foundation.

Although Liz hopes to see more "untouched" photographs grace the pages of our fashion magazines, she doesn't think the supermodel's images will help women.

Tamara of Shamara Modelling agrees with the Toowoomba magazine editor and believes using Jen wasn't the best choice.

"It's Jen's job to look good and she puts a lot of hard work into her body. I think it would have been more realistic to photograph someone more mainstream who doesn't have the perfect body," Tamara said.

"It could cause self image problems for young women because we're not all supermodels," she said.
