IT has been a stellar year for Skennars Head swimmer Jacqueline Freney, who last night picked up three more awards at the NSW Institute of Sport's annual awards night.

The 20-year-old, who was named Paralympian of the Year earlier this month, has now been picked up awards for Female Athlete of the Year, Most Memorable Moment and Regional Athlete.

Her dad and coach, Michael Freney, won the Sportspro Coach of the Year award, making it a big night for the family.

Freney won a staggering eight gold medals at the London Paralympics.

This morning she tweeted of her success: "Makes me so happy knowing I inspire other children with disabilities! It's really what it's all about ... teaching kids to have a go".

She also commented that her achievements in the NSW Institute of Sport awards showed that "Australians have embraced Paralympic sport and are inspired by the humility of Paralympic athletes".
