Coastcare gets grant for beach
BALLINA Coastcare has been given a NSW Environmental Trust grant worth almost $15,000 for a coastal rehabilitation project at Angels Beach.
"With it (the grant) we can now rehabilitate 2.5 hectares of badly degraded bushland and dunes along a 500m strip of Angels Beach," said Lee Andresen from Ballina Coastcare.
The work will be done by local bush regeneration contractors and volunteers.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-2014.
