Lisa and Emma come back home
THERE is nothing more refreshing than putting your studies aside temporarily during the Easter holidays to spend some time catching up with your friends and family in your home town.
Former McAuley Catholic College pupils and current university students Lisa Kennedy and Emma Thompson are happy to be back in the Clarence Valley - albeit "just for a short break".
Both girls are now based in Sydney where Lisa is studying a Bachelor of Vet Science at the University of Sydney and Emma is studying a Bachelor of Ancient History at Macquarie University.
While Emma will stay in Grafton until the end of the school holidays, Lisa will be returning to Sydney tomorrow.
"We always enjoy coming home to Grafton," Lisa said.
"The atmosphere is completely differ- ent to Sydney," Emma added.
"It's nice to come home for a break and see our friends and families."
Lisa and Emma have been close mates since they met in high school and spend a lot of time together in Sydney.
As third-year university students, the girls are entering the most challenging levels of their degrees but both are confident of passing their exams.
