IF you're familiar with your mythology, you would have guessed from the title of the book that the story is centred on Uriel, the Angel of Vengeance.

Avenger's Angel is the first in a new series of paranormal romance books called The Lost Angels, where each book will tell the story of how all four of the archangels find their mates.

Uriel and his brothers, Gabriel, Azrael and Michael were cast down to Earth in human form to find their archesses - the other halves who were made for them.

It's now 2000 years later and they still haven't given up on finding them yet.

But someone else, very powerful, is also determined to find the archesses for himself.

Uriel is now a movie star and his archess, Ellie, is a beautiful, determined young woman who has always known she was different, but not known why.

When Uriel enters her life, she starts to find answers to all her questions.

Avenger's Angels was written well and the plot interested me, but in parts it tried to bring together too many elements - there's love, there's hate, violence, scheming and sexual tension.

However, it's overall a good, fun, read if you're not looking for anything too complicated.
