THE Alstonville women's Premier Division football team this year won the Callan Macmillan pre-season competition and followed it up by winning the pointscore championship, scoring 98 goals and conceding just 15 during the 18-round season, and then topped it off with a 3-1 grand final win over Lismore Rovers.

The grand final win came after a stunning 9-2 semi-final victory against second-placed Bangalow.

With half the team still under 18 and four still 15 years of age, it has been a great achievement.

Chelsea Coleman was the Football Far North Coast (FFNC) Golden Boot winner with 28 goals. Chelsea along with Ruby Edwards and Ellie Fryer were named in the FFNC team of the year. Hannah Sheehan was named player of the grand final.
