Shane and Sue Ostwald have been owner operators of Gayndah Furnishers and Floors for 22 years. Since purchasing the shop when they were just out of their teens they have seen the business grow and change as has their own family life. From just the two of them, the family has grown to five with the arrival of Nick, Chris and Megan who have all grown up in the great community of Gayndah and often help out in the business. The business has also grown with the employment of two local people who help out in every aspect of the business. They feel that they have been extremely lucky over the years to have the support of some great staff and the loyalty of many customers who have been with us every step of the way. Once they purchased the shop in 1988, they introduced floor covering into the store and became part of the Homemakers and Floorzone buying group. This means that they have the buying power of over 30 stores Qld wide, while still keeping their business local.
