| PUBLIC HEARING The draft amendment proposes the recategorisation of approximately 4000m² of land on the northern edge of Crawford Park from “park” and “sportsground” to “general community use” and associated special provisions. The aim of the draft amendment is to enable the establishment and leasing of the proposed Alstonville Community Preschool on this site. Council will hold a Public Hearing in relation to the proposed amendment, pursuant to Section 40A of the Local Government Act 1993, at 6.00pm Thursday 1 November 2012 at the Alstonville Plateau Bowls & Sports Club, Deegan Drive, Alstonville.

PROPOSED RESOLUTION TO CLASSIFY OPERATIONAL LAND The acquisition of these properties has been funded by Council’s Car Parking Reserve which is sourced from developer contributions levied under section 94 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Notice is given, in accordance with section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993 that Council intends to classify both Lot 11 DP 238728 and Lot 6 DP 600044 as ‘operational land’ upon settlement.
