Notification of Proposed NBN Co Radio Network Base Station Facilities The National Broadband Network is a high speed broadband network that is intended to utilise a combination of optical fibre, fixed radio (wireless) and satellite technology to offer advanced broadband services to premises across Australia. As part of the fixed radio (wireless) component of the Network, NBN Co is proposing to establish a series of radio network base stations to provide high quality wireless broadband services to customers in the rural and rural / urban fringe areas of the Richmond Valley Local Government Area. The facilities proposed will involve the installation of up to 3 panel antennas and up to 2 microwave dish antennas on each of the proposed new monopole structures in the following localities as described below: * Coraki - 30 meter monopole - 206 Henderson Street, Coraki, NSW 2471 (Lot 205, DP755631). * Leeville - 35 meter monopole - 9085 Summerland Way, Leeville, NSW 2470 (Lot 97, DP650914). * Tatham - 40 meter monopole - 1 Wageners Road, Tatham, NSW 2471 (Lot 2, DP102944) Associated radio equipment will be housed in small cabinets or a single equipment shelter established adjacent to the monopoles. NBN Co regards the proposed monopole structures as Complying Development under State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007 and the associated antenna and equipment facilities as Low Impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-Impact Facilities) Determination 1997. In the circumstances they do not require planning approval from Richmond Valley Council.
